BAG OF BLESSINGS 2019!

This past Saturday, YOU served 1,270 people at our annual Bag of Blessings event with Curbside. We were blown away with how smoothly this event went thanks to all of you. Each person who came through our line was given Christmas gifts that they may not have had if not for you! The BEST part of the day – HOPEFULLY – was that each person felt the love of Jesus and learned the true meaning of Christmas. Seeing the body of Christ come together to share the love of Jesus is such a beautiful thing! We continue to be GRATEFUL to you and for you! Merry Christmas, Curbside Family!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!! We have some end-of-the-year reminders for you!

  • Year-end donations: Because we are a nonprofit, Curbside will be sending out tax donation statements to everyone who made a monetary donation in 2019. If you would like to make an “end-of-the-year” donation to Curbside and want it to count for 2019, THE DEADLINE IS DEC. 27TH. Any donations made after this date will be credited to 2020.
  • There will be NO Curbside for the remainder of 2019. We will provide the 2020 start-up dates as soon as they are finalized!
  • Curbside’s office will be closed Dec. 24th – January 2nd.

CURBSIDE CREW

Dewayne Conner

 Lee Pointe and Parker Bennett
Each month we spotlight one of the MANY wonderful volunteers of Curbside. This month, we celebrate Dewayne.
We wrap up the year by highlighting a volunteer who gives his all during each and every Curbside outing/event. Dewayne has been volunteering with Curbside since March, and he has already made a lasting impact on our ministry!
Dewayne arrives early and stays late when he serves. He goes above and beyond in all he does, and we could not be more grateful for the extra effort he puts forth as a volunteer.
We asked Dewayne what his most memorable memory from Curbside was and this was his response. “One afternoon I received the dreaded message “Curbside Cancelled tonight due to weather.” It was raining but my heart told me to go to Lee Street and there was the Curbside staff bagging meals to deliver to the children. After the meals were bagged, the rain stopped and we loaded meals into carts and went door to door making deliveries. The kids came out of their apartments, began to play, and had a great time with the Curbside staff and volunteers.”

This story shows how beautiful Dewaynes heart is and WHY he is such an important part of our Curbside Family. Dewayne truly makes us BETTER! We could not ask for a better volunteer.
Thanks for all you do, Dewayne. We love you!
