Curbside is still active!

Our Curbside staff has been hard at work during this time planning and preparing for when we can hit the streets again! We have been brainstorming of ways to serve our Curbside families during this time. We were able to partner with Bluegrass Medical, Zip Clinic, Refugee BG, International Center, and Housing Authority during the month of May. We Covid19 tested over 300 individuals total on two different occasions at our Lee Street building. Many of our families were able to get access to testing and we were so thankful. How awesome it was to work with so many amazing organizations and make this available to those we serve weekly.  Please keep these families in your prayers! We are always considering new methods and ways to take the van out and bring a smile to our precious kiddos. We ask that you join us in praying for the best and safest way to make this happen!

We Need Bubbles!

One of our favorite things to do at Curbside is bring smiles to our kids faces!  BUBBLES is the perfect solution!  We know that giving bubbles to our Curbside kids during this crazy time will bring so much joy!

We will be collecting donations for bubbles over the next few weeks in preparation to hit the streets and distribute!

You can drop off bubble donations at any Sheldons Express Pharmacy or Donatos Pizza!

    CURBSIDE CREW

    Ellie Bardin

    Lee Pointe and Parker Bennett

Each month we spotlight one of the MANY wonderful volunteers of Curbside. This month, we celebrate Ellie Bardin!
Ellie has been a volunteer at Curbside for 8 years! Chances are if you have served at either site you have probably met Ellie! She has a passion and heart for our kids that is unmatched.

Not only is Ellie an amazing volunteer, she is on staff as the Director of Community Impact. Soon, she will be transitioning in to full time and we can’t think of a better person to take on the role of Director/Administrator of Ministry.

Ellie said her favorite memory is hard to choose… but she always loves our Thanksgiving Dinners! She said, “it’s such a sweet time to sit down with our kids and their families and simply have a meal together. It’s fun to catch up – plus everybody loves Thanksgiving food!”

One things she wants to tell someone who is interested in serving at Curbside is, “Just show up!!! Jump in wherever and have FUN!!  And, if you need somebody to help facilitate your involvement, feel free to text or call me at (270-938-4633) Showing up is so worth it, you’ll fall in love!!!”
Thanks for all you do, Ellie. We love you!
