BACK TO SCHOOL!
Our kiddos are all back to school and we are continuing to pray for an amazing year for them! Although our summer of prayer is over, we want to encourage you ALL to petition our Lord DAILY on behalf of our kids and the schools they attend. THANKS to everyone who participated in our Summer of Prayer. We are praying the Holy Spirit hovers over and in every school in our community this year… in the name of Jesus!

E2 STARTING BACK!
August 19th
Embrace Empathy is starting back Monday, August 19th! Excitement is in the air as this simple, yet amazing program begins again…
Every Monday morning, Curbside is given a platform to talk about putting the interests of others above and before our own. We do this presently at Parker Bennett Curry Elementary School. We spend 5-7 minutes encouraging students and faculty. We emphasize EMPATHY.
Each month a student from each classroom is recognized as the Embrance Empathy student of the month. They receive an “e2” block to sit on their classroom desk and they are acknowledged in front of their peers for showing empathy. We will have a monthly pizza party to celebrate these students!
This year we are adding a new component to Embrace Empathy >>> students will individually nominate a teacher who best expresses empahty.
We would love for you to join us any Monday morning! We arrive at the school around 7:30 am to great students. The morning assembly starts at 8:00 am.
CURBSIDE CREW
Liz Peterson
Lee Pointe
Each month we spotlight one of the MANY wonderful Curbside volunteers. This month we celebrate Liz Peterson.
Liz has been volunteering with Curbside for 5 years now. She has experience with both of our sites but found her place at Lee Pointe.
Her most memorable moment from Curbside was her first time serving at Lee Pointe. She was walking with her friend Ellie to bring a family down to the Curbside building. As soon as the door to the apartment opened, Louise, whom she had never met before, ran towards her and gave her a massive hug. That blind love and happiness has kept her coming back week after week.
Liz wants everyone to know if you come to Curbside, go all in! Don’t be scared by the amount of kids because she was at first! She said the best thing to do is find one or two kids a night to hang out with and start growing those relationships slowly until you start seeing familiar faces in the crowd each week!
Thanks for all you do, Liz. We love you!
